| Enigma and IBM Maximo - A Powerful Combination |
|
Recently Enigma and IBM delivered a joint presentation to the Maximo user community detailing the benefits of a complete maintenance planning and delivery solution. Enigma was invited by IBM to discuss how our products integrate with IBM’s Maximo enterprise asset management solution, including the opportunities for seamless maintenance planning, scheduling and execution, configuration management, procurement, inventory control/supply chain management, feedback and collaboration.
A wide variety of industries participated on the call, expressing interest in several topics including: how to accelerate the delivery of work packages, how to automate the maintenance closeout process and how to improve overall maintenance efficiency and consistency, all of which improve equipment uptime.
Enigma is pleased to be working closely with IBM’s Maximo product team and we look forward to sharing the unique capabilities that our integration with Maximo has to offer.
We will be offering a similar presentation to the Enigma user community in the near future; meanwhile, you can tune into the recorded webinar here.

Thoughts on Airbus and Boeing
One of our recent blog posts, "The Future of Airline MRO Technology," discusses the challenge of going electronic ("paperless") in the maintenance, repair and overhaul industry. In our view, one of the principal challenges is the result of proprietary maintenance systems from OEMs like Boeing and Airbus, which provide their content in “locked” formats. This limits flexibility in the spare parts supply chain, limits shop floor productivity and makes it difficult to integrate with ERP systems.
For airlines that don't want to be locked into the "free" OEM maintenance packages (let's face it, they're hardly free when you factor in lost maintenance productivity and uptime), Enigma provides MRO solutions that fully integrate to maintenance, planning and engineering systems.
We'd like to hear your thoughts on this topic, so we encourage you to read the blog post, and submit a comment.
