BURLINGTON, Mass.-June 26, 2007-Enigma Inc., the leader in aftermarket service and support technology, today announced that the company has released Enigma 3C® Revision Manager, a unique solution for industries that receive updates and revisions to complex documents. A good example is the aviation industry, where Revision Manager is used to highlight changes and resolve conflicts between the current and revised versions of maintenance manuals. It is also used to investigate content updates from the OEM that may conflict with Temporary Revisions (TR), Customer Originated Changes (COC) or other service supplements that have been implemented by the airline. Revision Manager is well-suited to industries requiring complex maintenance of capital equipment, including airlines, rail, aerospace and defense (A&D), oil and gas (O&G), energy and utilities.

Revision Manager identifies changes between documents by comparing the original/existing content to the updated content. By automating the procedures associated with vetting new material, Revision Manager significantly improves the evaluation, edit, review and approval process of complex documents. The comparison process develops a list of all the content changes, whether they are textual, formatting or markup changes. (An example of a markup change could be a new XML element that wraps around an existing element.) This comparison is configurable, offering complete flexibility in determining which changes are flagged and which are ignored.  Enigma 3C Revision Manager handles a variety of document formats including XML, PDF and Binary files (such as images).
