TDMD consists of a content management component and a content delivery component. The content management portion utilizes IBM Document Manager and Content Manager to provide an environment where engineers and technical writers can import and review the necessary service documents—maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical revisions and engineering change notices—prior to approving them for use in the depot or on the flight line.
The content delivery portion utilizes Enigma 3C to provide an integrated, web-based aircraft encyclopedia that allows aviation maintenance technicians in the field and in the hangar to see all of the latest service manuals, parts catalogs and troubleshooting guides, customized for each specific aircraft. Enigma allows the TDMD solution to be easily integrated with ERP, inventory and maintenance scheduling systems, enabling the creation of customized task cards and giving technicians visibility into the entire maintenance process. The result is a complete aircraft information solution that optimizes the efficiency and consistency of the maintenance and engineering department.
This fully integrated solution can be deployed in six months for substantially less than similar aviation solutions on the market, enabling MRO shops to achieve ROI within nine months.
