Associate Product Manager

New York, NY

Enigma is looking for an Associate Product Manager (APM) to join our Data Team. Fundamental to our products, data is at the center of everything we do at Enigma. The sourcing, collecting, and understanding of public data portals and structures is a pivotal but rewarding responsibility.

As an Associate Product Manager, you will be our data curator, tasked with researching new libraries of data, surfacing data of value and conveying its intricacies to the rest of the organization. At best, you have experience working with both quantitative and qualitative sets of data. You will be partnering  with a wide range of actors within the company and outside of it: government agencies publishing datasets, account managers conveying client needs and the data engineers executing on specific tasks. Our APM is responsible for helping to manage an Agile workflow, keeping track of the details to keep the whole team moving ahead.

You will be the most successful in this role if you are comfortable in a high-growth environment, and able to take initiative and assume ownership over projects. We’re looking for someone who is excited about acquiring new skills and learning new technologies.  As our sources of data grow and client needs change, so will your projects. We are looking for a driven person who does not distract easily, loves a good challenge, and is capable of digging through the noise of messy Government portals and antiquated software to find the right dataset and solve our most pressing questions.

OUR STORY

Enigma is a rapidly growing enterprise technology company based in the Flatiron neighborhood of New York City. We are Series B funded, partnering with some of the best investors in the world: New Enterprise Associates, Two Sigma Ventures, Comcast Ventures, Crosslink Capital, American Express Ventures, and others.

Founded in 2012, Enigma was started based on the realization that there was tremendous potential in using public data to understand how the world works, but that it was untapped because the data is highly fragmented and disconnected. Enigma set out to change that by building and organizing one of the largest collections of public data in the world, and our big coming out party was winning TechCrunch Disrupts Battlefield in 2013. Our vision has remained steadfast, we want to empower people to interpret, and improve, the world around them. However, we have expanded our ability to realize this vision by combining our massive public data repository with an ecosystem of software and tools designed to link, resolve, enhance and apply data to help global-scale companies take on some of their hardest problems, ranging from preventing money laundering to ensuring patient safety.

We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
