We’re building a unique model of the real world.

We’re building a unique model of the real world.

Enigma’s mission is to empower people to interpret and improve the world around them.

We do this by transforming how data is seen and used in the enterprise. Enigma connects internal and external data to surface insights that inform business decisions, solve problems and unlock new opportunities. From combating money laundering to enhancing drug safety, Enigma’s data and technology is changing the way the world uses data.

We power the daily decisions that matter.

Founders’ story

Co-founders Hicham Oudghiri and Marc DaCosta met as Philosophy students at Columbia University. They were frustrated that despite the vast amount of data, there was no easy way to find — let alone connect — data to form a new worldview. Both felt the work of wrangling  datasets didn’t need to be complicated and set out to make data more connected and accessible. Shortly thereafter the premise behind Enigma emerged: what would Google look like if it was designed for searching databases at scale?

Enigma Technologies, Inc. was officially incorporated in 2011. Fast forward to today: organizations rely on Enigma’s data and technology to connect datasets and streamline operations. Enigma is changing the way they interact with data by connecting it to the real world, making it more accessible and bringing it to bear on everyday decisions. Enigma’s vast knowledge bank of people, places and companies, grounded in public data, creates a unique map of the real world for individuals and enterprises. When combined with internal or third party data, enterprises gain access to a new picture of their world and make smarter, more informed decisions.
